The definition of eco-friendly fabrics is broad, which is also due to the breadth of the definition of fabrics. Generally, environmentally friendly fabrics can be regarded as low-carbon and energy-saving, natural and non-harmful substances, environmentally friendly and recyclable fabrics. Eco-friendly fabrics can be roughly divided into two categories: living eco-friendly fabrics and industrial eco-friendly fabrics.

Living eco-friendly fabrics are generally composed of RPET fabrics, organic cotton, colored cotton, bamboo fibers, soybean protein fibers, hemp fibers, modal fabrics, organic wool, log tencel and other fabrics.

Industrial environmentally friendly fabrics are composed of inorganic non-metallic materials and metal materials such as PVC, polyester fiber, glass fiber, etc., which can achieve the effect of environmental protection, energy saving and recycling in practical application.

Environmentally friendly fabric for living

Recycled polyester fabric

RPET fabric is a new type of recycled environmental protection fabric, the full name is Recycled PET Fabric (recycled polyester fabric), the raw material is from the recycled PET bottle through quality inspection separation, slicing, drawing, cooling and silk collection made of RPET yarn, commonly known as Coke bottle environmental protection cloth. The fabric is recyclable and reusable, saving energy, oil consumption and reducing CO2 emissions, saving 61,000 BTU of energy for every pound of recycled RPET fabric, equivalent to 21 pounds of CO2. After environmental dyeing and environmental protection coating and calendering, the fabric can also pass the testing of international standards such as MTL, SGS, ITS, etc., among which phthalate (6P), formaldehyde, lead (Pb), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, nonylfen and other environmental protection indicators have reached the latest European environmental protection standards and the latest American environmental protection standards.

Organic cotton

Organic cotton is in agricultural production, with organic fertilizer, biological pest control, natural farming management, no use of chemicals, from seeds to agricultural products are all natural pollution-free production of cotton. And with the "Agricultural Product Safety and Quality Standards" issued by various countries or WTO/FAO as a yardstick, the content of toxic and harmful substances such as pesticides, heavy metals, nitrates, and pests (including microorganisms, parasite eggs, etc.) in cotton is controlled within the limits specified in the standard, and the certified commercial cotton is obtained.

Colored cotton

Colored cotton is a new type of cotton with natural color in cotton fibers. Natural color cotton is a new type of textile raw material cultivated by modern bioengineering technology when the fiber has a natural color when the cotton is spitting, and it has the characteristics of softness, breathability, elasticity and comfort compared with ordinary cotton, so it is also known as a higher level of ecological cotton. Internationally, it is called Zero Pollution. Due to the fact that organic cotton needs to maintain its natural properties during the cultivation and weaving process, it cannot be dyed with existing chemical synthetic dyes. Only natural dyeing is carried out with all-natural plant dyes. Naturally dyed organic cotton has more colors and can meet more needs. According to experts, at the beginning of the 21st century, brown and green will be the popular colors of clothing. It embodies ecological, natural, leisure, and fashion trends. In addition to brown and green, color cotton clothing is gradually developing blue, purple, gray-red, brown and other color clothing varieties.

Bamboo fiber

Bamboo fiber yarn raw materials are selected from bamboo as raw materials, and the staple fiber yarn produced by bamboo pulp fiber is a green product, and the knitted fabrics and garments produced by cotton yarn made of the raw materials have a unique style that is obviously different from cotton and wood cellulose fibers: abrasion resistance, no hairballs, high moisture absorption, quick drying, high air permeability, good drape, smooth and plump feel, silky soft, mildew-proof, moth-proof and antibacterial, cool and comfortable to wear, and have the effect of beauty and skin care. The dyeing performance is excellent, the luster is bright, and it has a good natural antibacterial effect and environmental protection, which conforms to the trend of modern people's pursuit of health and comfort.

Of course, bamboo fiber fabrics also have some disadvantages, this kind of plant fabric is more delicate than other ordinary fabrics, the damage rate is higher, and the shrinkage rate is more difficult to control. To overcome these defects, bamboo fibers are often blended with some ordinary fibers. Bamboo fiber and other kinds of fiber blending in a specific proportion can not only reflect the performance of other fibers but also give full play to the characteristics of bamboo fiber, bringing new characteristics to knitted fabrics. Pure spinning, blended yarn (blended with Tencel, modal, sweat-wicking polyester, negative oxygen ion polyester, corn fiber, cotton, acrylic and other fibers with different proportions), is the preferred fabric for knitting intimate textiles.

Soy fiber

Soybean protein fiber is a degradable regenerative plant protein fiber, which has many excellent properties of natural fiber and chemical fiber. Its fabric has a cashmere-like feel, silk-like luster and the breathable warmth of cotton, which is skin-friendly and comfortable, and has been praised as "21st century healthy and comfortable fiber" by experts at home and abroad. Soy protein fiber is similar to silk, with good drape and delicate surface texture, making it an ideal fabric for high-end shirts. It also contains a variety of essential amino acids, making it suitable for wear. China is the world's third-largest producer of organic cotton after Turkey and India, and Xinjiang is the main production center. Chemical pesticides and other chemicals can not be used or only a small amount can be used in the planting process of organic cotton, and organic fertilizer, biological pest control and natural cultivation are the mainstay, and all natural pollution-free products must be from seeds to agricultural products. Organic cotton garments are about 50% more expensive than traditional fabrics.

Hemp fibers

Hemp fibers are fibers obtained from a variety of hemp plants, including bast fibers from the cortex of annual or perennial herbaceous dicots and leaf fibers from monocots. Bast fiber crops mainly include ramie, jute, green hemp, ** (hemp), flax, Luobu hemp and hibiscus. Among them, hemp, flax, Luobu hemp and other cell walls are not lignified, and the thickness and length of the fiber are similar to cotton, which can be used as textile raw materials to weave into a variety of cool fine linen cloth and summer cloth, and can also be blended with cotton, wool, silk or chemical fiber. The strength of hemp fiber is higher than that of cotton fiber, up to 6.5 g/denier, and the elongation is small, only half of cotton fiber, about 3.5%, which is more brittle than cotton fiber. The surface of hemp and flax fibers is smooth, it is easier to absorb water, and the speed of water dissipation into the atmosphere is faster, and the fibers are relatively straight and not easy to deform.

Modal

Modal is also a common eco-friendly fabric, which comes from the Austrian company Lanzing and is often used in high-end underwear. Modal fiber is a beech wood as the raw material of Lyocell (Lycell) fiber, pure natural, degradable, set the gorgeous texture of natural fabrics and the practicality of synthetic fibers in one, soft feel, luster such as silk, smooth such as **, moisture absorption, breathability is better than cotton, at the same time than bamboo fiber fabrics are easier to dye, after repeated washing color is still full and bright. According to Shaoxing Jinyu, the price of imported modal fabrics is more than 7.04 US dollars per kilogram, while Taiwan's modal is only about 4.23 US dollars, the difference is nearly half.

Organic wool

Organic wool is produced on chemical-free and GMO-free farms. These flocks are free-range and grow entirely in nature, making it a new topic of excitement for the wool industry, and interest in organic wool has increased in recent months.

Log Tencel

It is a sporty environmentally friendly fabric, because of its special nano-thread molecular structure, just like a pipe for air circulation on the surface of the fabric, to ensure sufficient oxygen circulation, lock in moisture, so it has a quite good humidity control effect. Some fabric experts pointed out that this fabric has super antistatic properties and does not produce a feeling of attachment to the body, so it is very slippery, especially suitable for sports wear. Its moisture content is the most in line with the physiological requirements of human skin, with good air permeability and humidity control function, and is unanimously called "breathing fabric" by domestic and foreign media. Its fabric has the advantages of soft touch, smooth and cool, breathable, antistatic, and brilliant dyeing.

Industrial environmental protection materials

Generally, it is mainly environmentally friendly sunshine fabrics. Most of the processes on the market are divided into two categories: one is PVC-coated fiber, and the other is fiber-impregnated in PVC. Generally, polyester fabrics are basically used in China as a wrapping method (such as: Bongia PANGEAE sunshine fabric in the United States). In foreign countries, there are more impregnated fiberglass fabrics (such as: Spanish CITEL sunshine fabric)

1. Flame retardant sunshade cloth: the shading effect basically reaches 85%-99%, the opening rate ranges from 1% to 15%, and has flame retardant function, which is generally a permanent flame retardant effect. 2. Embossed sunshade cloth: embossed by special machines to achieve various pattern effects, embossed styles are very rich 3, jacquard sunshade cloth: jacquard through special processes to achieve various pattern effects 4, metal-coated sunshade cloth: the fabric is dyed and coated, the front is a sunny fabric, and the back is plated with metal coating, including silver plating, aluminum plating, etc., which can achieve a good breathable and light transmission effect. At the same time, according to the principle of reflecting ultraviolet rays, the shading effect is better than that of general pinhole sunlight fabrics.

Composition:

Polyester is an important variety of synthetic fibers and is the trade name of polyester fiber in China. It is a fiber polymer made of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (EG) through esterification or transesterification and polycondensation reaction

Glass fiber is an inorganic non-metallic material with excellent performance, which is an important part of glass fiber fabric. Original name in English: glass fiber. The ingredients are silica, alumina, calcium oxide, boron oxide, magnesium oxide, sodium oxide, etc. It is made of glass balls or waste glass as raw materials through high-temperature melting, wire drawing, winding, weaving and other processes. Finally, all kinds of products are formed, the diameter of glass fiber monofilament is from a few microns to more than 20 meters of microns, which is equivalent to 1/20-1/5 of a hair, and each bundle of fiber precursor is composed of hundreds or even thousands of monofilaments, which are usually used as reinforcing materials in composite materials, electrical insulation materials and thermal insulation materials, circuit substrates, etc., which are widely used in various fields of the national economy.

Chemical fiber is a fiber made of natural or synthetic polymer substances. According to the different sources of raw materials, they can be divided into man-made fibers with natural polymer substances as raw materials and synthetic fibers with synthetic polymer substances as raw materials.
